The Story
For young mothers in Kibera, building a livelihood means finding opportunities to learn, earn and care for their children.
Salama Craft is creating those opportunities through skills training, education and a safe space where young mothers can develop their abilities while their children are cared for.
Our Approach
As part of Spread Your Mission — Season One, Emerge Lens partnered with Salama Craft to tell the story of its work through the experiences of the young mothers it supports.
Rather than simply explaining the organisation’s programmes, the film brings audiences closer to the women, their aspirations and the role Salama Craft plays in helping them build more sustainable livelihoods.
